PROGRAM
INFORMATION
This is the
safest, toughest, and the most productive program to train
athletes to be quicker, faster, and stronger for any
sport. Players will enjoy noticeable results after approximately 5
workouts! Some athletes have reported an increase in footspeed
and coordination with even fewer training sessions; however, the
most significant results will occur after two months. Athletes
may continue their plyometric training program year-round. The program will
advance players to a new level approximately every 5-10 weeks.

The
most common question that is asked of this program is: "Is this
program like the acceleration programs that are at some of the
health clubs now that cost so much money?" The answer is, yes
and no. Although PlyoCity is similar in that we train the same
core group of muscles to increase your vertical and quickness,
the PlyoCity program is proven to produce results
and is affordable for
everyone. It is also more flexible for teams, since we
offer options to train with other teams at various locations or at
your practice.

TRAINING
OPTIONS
Options are
available for every athlete at any time of the year or
season:
- Individual training one or two days per week
with another team or program;
- One or two days per week as a member of a team
at the team's location.
Training sessions are ongoing
and there is no particular set start date to begin.
Athletes and families design their work-out programs around
their individual seasons and needs. For information about

SCHEDULE INFORMATION
PlyoCity offers team training at
your practice location when it is convenient for your team. We will bring all
required equipment to your gym or field. The PlyoCity program is designed for
athletes of all ages (we recommend 8 years and older) and all
abilities.
It
is well documented and a matter of practice that children
learn to play skill games such as tennis and baseball at
ages as young as 6-8 years.
East European researchers have published research to support
that 6-8 years is an excellent time to initiate these types
of activities because the nervous system is "plastic" and
youngsters can capitalize on motor learning to develop their
game skills.
What is equally important but often overlooked is that
movement skills involving the lower extremities are
extremely important in developing "athleticism".
Therefore, plyometric or "jump training" can play a critical
role in the development of athletic ability in the young
athlete.

The PlyoCity workout is
structured for athletes to train a minimum of one day per week
in their season and two days per week while they are out of
season. Athletes can train as much or little as they wish, but
we do not recommend more than three sessions per week, including
for elite athletes. Each session is approximately one hour.
